The Masterpiece of Geometry: Vintage Alexander's Star (1982 Original)

Own the puzzle that challenged the world in the wake of the Rubik's craze. Alexander's Star, invented by American mathematician Adam Alexander, is not just a puzzle—it’s a geometric marvel in the shape of a Great Dodecahedron.

A Rare Collector's Gem:

Released in 1982 by the Ideal Toy Co., this is a genuine vintage unit, not a modern replica. It remains one of the most distinctive "Sequential Movement" puzzles ever mass-produced.

Mechanism & Challenge:

Beyond the Cube: While it looks like a star, its logic is equivalent to solving the edges of a Megaminx. With 30 moving pieces and two orientations each, it offers a deep, multi-layered solving experience.

Complex Symmetry: The goal is to arrange the pieces so that each "star" (pentagon) is surrounded by five faces of the same color.

Authentic Vintage Condition:

Original Stickers: This unit retains its original 80s factory stickers. Note that due to the puzzle's unique sliding design and 40+ year history, some stickers show natural lifting or peeling at the edges. For many collectors, this is a preferred sign of authenticity and "honest wear."

Mechanical Integrity: The puzzle maintains its classic, slightly stiff turning feel—a hallmark of the original 1980s internal mechanism.

Visual Appeal: The deep metallic/primary colors and the complex star shape make it a stunning centerpiece for any puzzle display shelf.
